December, 2001 -
The
Traveling Banner Ministry participated in the "PENSACOLA
CELLULAR SOUTH CHRISTMAS PARADE," on DECEMBER
8, 2001 and was awarded "HONORABLE
MENTION" by
the Judges.
Spectators

raised - jumping for joy!

2002 -
The
Traveling Banner Ministry participated in the PENSACOLA
CELLULAR SOUTH CHRISTMAS PARADE," on DECEMBER 14,
2002 and was awarded "SECOND
PLACE - CHURCH DIVISION" by
the Judges.
Again, Spectators teared and praised
the Lord! Arms rasied - some one knees!

PENSACOLA CHRISTMAS PARADE
December 2003 - we
did not sign up to go, but it was cancelled due to inclement weather
and was not rescheduled

December, 2004 and 2005 - brought the devastation
of Ivan, then Katrina, and picking up the pieces of lives and ministry
in Pensacola, Florida.
No Parade.

December 2006 - we participated in the parade again,
but without loud music. We had the dance team from Zion Hope Primitive
Baptist Church join us. It was an awesome experience and all knew who
we represented in the parade, JESUS!! \o/

MISSION TRIPS
MORENCI, ARIZONA, 2004 - The Traveling Banner Ministry is traveled Morenci, Arizona in July, 2004 to help 5 differant churches start their own banner ministry and to perform a processional of this "Praise in Motion" Ministry!!! We did the processional for 3 differant churches within Morenci, AZ. We were there for 10 days total and were blessed by all whom we met and their hospitatility!
"WOMAN
OF DESTINY" DANCE CONFERENCE
October 12-14, 2007 -
The Traveling Banner Ministry traveled to Oxford/Aniston, Alabama to participate
in the "Women of Destiny" Dance Conference.
This conference was awesome! During the 2.5 days there, one of the other visitors
donated a beautiful red velvet pillow with gold fringe for the crown of Jesus
to be carried in on. A
very special Thank you to her!
On
our last day there a grey dove visited our hotel room by flying
inside of it, perhaps, looking for water, but nonetheless, it was
a wonderful visit and the baner team took it as confirmation from
above!!!
MINISTRY
STARTED IN 1996: The banners have participated in local
churches since 1996. We have been known to do 15-minute Christmas
programs and 2 - 7
minute praise processionals.
A few times we have used the banners to decorate a sanctuary or vestibule, but this practice is not encouraged with this banner ministry. The banners have more effect when used in a praise processionals rather than decorations and not to be seen too often.
Mrs. Liz Traylor is my mentor, she is the wife of the pastor of Olive Baptist Church, the biggest church here in Pensacola, Florida - membership over 10,000. Olive Baptist uses their banners 2-3 times a year. TBM is modeled after the heart of the OBC Banner Ministry.
