Song, "Angels Among Us"

Hebrews 13:2 KJV "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares."

"THINGS ARE NOT WHAT THEY SEEM"
A GREAT Read!! Highly Recommended!

Two Angels were walking along the road at night. They were tired and it was
bitterly cold. Soon they came upon a big, nice home. They knocked on the door
and asked if they could stay the night on the floor. The owners were rude and
insisted that they sleep in the basement.

So, the angels took their place in the basement. As the night wore on, the older
angel noticed a hole in the wall and repaired it. The older angel looked at the
younger one and explained, "Things are not what they seem." The next morning
they were on the way again.

At the end of this day, again, they sought refuge with a nearby home. This time the home belonged to a poor farmer and his wife. This couple was barely able to make ends meet. The couple gave the angels a warm bed and a big, hot meal.

Early in the morning they both awoke to a woman crying heavily. When they asked what was wrong, she explained that their only cow and only means of milk, had passed away during the night.

The younger angel, once outside, accused the older one of being unfair. "When we were at the rude people's home, you found one small hole and repaired it. But when we were here at one of the friendliest homes we have ever known, you sat back during the night and let their cow die."

The older angel explained, "Things are not what they seem."

The younger one puzzled over this. Then the older angel explained, "When I was in the big, rich home, through the hole I saw many gold bricks. So, since the man and his wife were so hung up on greed, I closed the hole so they would never know."

"When we were at the farm, I found out that the farmer's wife was going to pass away that night, so I gave the cow instead."

God does know best.
